A bit about us
Compass Construction East is Ben Wilcockson and Joe Turner. There is no head office, no account manager, no one between you and the people doing the work.
We work across Norfolk and East Anglia on residential projects of all kinds , extensions, conversions, new builds, renovations, roofing, kitchens. Most things, as long as we can do them well. We do not take on work we cannot take pride in.
Ben started Compass Construction East because he wanted to build something entirely on his own terms , a company where the quality of the work was the whole point. Joe shares that standard. It is what makes them work well together.
The Team
Meet Ben and Joe
(Bear with us, our actual photos are on the way!)
Ben Wilcockson
Ben has been in construction for the best part of twenty years. He started on the tools and has stayed there.
A skilled carpenter and experienced project lead, his background covers new build, structural renovation, extensions, and interior fitting across Norfolk and the surrounding region.
He knows the work from the ground up , literally , and brings that hands-on experience to every project he takes on, however large or small.
Joe Turner
Joe trained under Ben and has been in construction for nine years. He is a fully qualified carpenter with experience across the full range of work Compass takes on, but what stands out about Joe is less about the credentials and more about the way he works.
He is the kind of person who takes genuine pride in what he produces. Not in a showy way, he just does not like leaving a job in a state he is not satisfied with. He is calm on site, practical when things do not go to plan, and easy to have around.
Jess Wilcockson
Behind every well-run project is someone making sure the moving parts are actually moving. For Compass Construction East, that is Jess.
Working behind the scenes, Jess handles the administrative and planning side of the business, scheduling, diary coordination, and making sure that Ben and Joe can stay focused on what they do best rather than getting pulled into the back-office detail.
